About Bruno

Bruno has been in a foster home for about 5wks after being surrendered by his previous owner, this lovely boy has had a chaotic history and now needs someone who won't let him down and give him the love and stability he craves! Bruno is estimated to be about 3 years old, he is super loving, has an unlimited supply of energy and is very playful and bouncy. He does love a snuggle, and to sit on the sofa with you, he adores bum scratches, and, loves to be fussed and gives the best kisses. He is desperate for love and to be the centre of someone's world. He is pretty much fully house trained, but this is likely to regress a little while he adjusts to a new home and needs someone that will be understanding and patient with him while he settles, he knows some basic obedience and is a very clever little dog and so would benefit from further training and mental stimulation. He is an amazing little dog and will guarantee you plenty of love and laughs every day. We feel that Bruno needs a home with people that are around a lot of the day as he can display some signs of separation anxiety when initially left, however this is improving. A very active adult only home is necessary unless older teenagers or grown-up children live in the home who understand dogs well as Bruno is very bouncy and this would be too much for smaller children. Bruno strongly attaches to one person, so a multi adult household would need to be prepared that he will choose his person and become firmly bonded to them. It would also be better for Bruno if he had a pet free home as he can struggle to read other dogs and their behaviour within the home, he is fine with other dogs when out for walks but within the home he can get jealous if another dog is around toys or his favoured human. He CANNOT be rehomed with cats as he is inclined to chase them Bruno walks well on a lead but does require a very active home and long and regular walks as well as mental stimulation and the opportunity to exercise freely, his recall is a work in progress and will require work. His hearing can definitely be selective when it suits him. Bruno is based in Southport and would benefit from some meets and greets before making the move to his forever home.

If anyone can open their home and hearts to Bruno, please send in an application using the ‘Adopt Me’ button above, email us at team@pennysark.com or message us via our Facebook.
