A foster review

I have just completed my first experience of fostering with Penny's Ark. Following the usual homechecks I was matched with Cookie as my first foster dog. Communication and organisation all the way through has been exceptional and I have felt massively supported throughout.

It was obvious from Day1 that there has been a lot of time and care been spent in Romania to ensure the dogs that they transport are suitable and well prepared for the journey and to be in homes, Cookie was testament to that hard work by the staff in Romania.

I won't lie saying goodbye is tough but it's been rewarding to see how much further Cookie developed in such a short time and to see her go to a home where she will know love and kindness feels amazing after she has had such a difficult start and she deserves that and so much more.

If you've got the space and some spare time please consider fostering it's honestly such a rewarding experience and you receive lots of support. For every 1 dog you foster you will free up a kennel in Romania which they will fill with another poor soul facing euthanasia in the public shelter so really you save 2 lives!
