Behind the walls of many overcrowded shelters in Romania thousands of dogs endure a reality few people ever see. When you do see it your life is forever changed, tinged with a veil of sorrow that follows you long after they die, broken spirited and broken hearted. The fur once glossy is dull, filthy, flea ridden and matted. Their bodies are weak and injured. Their eyes have died and are sunken and hollow. They huddle together sharing terror, pain and suffering. Their once ability to bark has turned into a low raspy noise that is nothing short of harrowing to hear. 

Help us to build a sanctuary for broken dogs where fear ends and healing begins, where many are too traumatised to ever find the loving arms of families, but who need specialist and often palliative care. They didn't get a beginning so let's give them an end. Please stand with us and give hope and salvation to the voiceless dogs that so many of us cherish. They are depending on us in their hour of need.

What is all this about?

Across Romania thousands of stray dogs live on the margins of society, and for many the journey ends behind the gates of overcrowded municipal shelters. they are confined in cramped kennels with limited food, no medical care and no kind human touch. They shiver through freezing winters often not surviving them and they die of heat exhaustion and dehydration and starvation in the summer.
